Things theme different...

Long overdue: A site face lift! This is just a first step: quick, slap-it-up application of a new theme. You're looking at a polished theme by pros: Tapestry, from the good folks at RoopleTheme. Want a theme built from the ground up for easy modding? Check out this feature list... which I'll introduce shortly. The RoopleTheme site appears out of action at the moment. (Probably something I did. : / ) 

Next, more changes to make things more to my liking. A little more white space to de-clutter things, more oomph in the content headers... and, oops, I've neglected to put my secondary menu anywhere. Forgive sudden jumps and spasms in the layout as I tweak the live site.

I wanted to talk more about this theme, but not much point in it until people can download it and use it on their own. Will keep watching for the site to come back on line...

Drupal mini tip

As noted in Forum Finds: Node deletion is forever, when you tell Drupal to delete a node it gives you one "Are you sure...?" chance to recapitulate, but that's it. Confirm the deletion, and that node is gone; there's no Trash Can or Undo to get it back.

To prevent mishaps, be careful in giving users permission to delete nodes. Also, make it a rule to unpublish, not delete, nodes when you want to take them off the site. The node will disappear from view just as if it had been deleted, but will remain in the database should you ever want to republish, reedit, or otherwise revisit it.
