Got unexpained "access denied" troubles keeping people from your content? Go to admin/content/node-settings, and try the 'Rebuild Permissions' button.
If that doesn't work, see other ideas for access denied for visitors and access denied for admins.

I missed this comment, and it's likely much too late to be of aid to your inquiry... In any case, I don't know what version of anything you're using, and the Amazon-related modules have undergone much change over time. If you're still stuck on the problem: What versions of Drupal and the Amazon modules are you using, and what is the content type you're using for users who add books?
